Scentroid CTmini PM Monitor, Saudi Arabia

Review Scentroid CTmini particulate-monitoring applications, measured fractions, communications and deployment considerations for Saudi dust networks.

Discuss your monitoring scope
Scentroid CTmini installed on a representative Saudi construction boundary with PM inlet, power, wireless communications and dashboard callouts.

EnviroSaudi Company supplies the Scentroid CTmini particulate matter monitor in Saudi Arabia for continuous PM trending at construction boundaries, mines, quarries, cement operations, logistics hubs, industrial zones and urban networks. EnviroSaudi Company is an authorized Scentroid distributor. The compact fixed instrument can be configured with supporting environmental and gas-related measurements, and is proposed where the method meets the project objective.

Published CTmini measurement scope

Scentroid’s current CTmini page lists PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10 together with temperature, relative humidity and pressure. Its specification table also identifies carbon dioxide, absolute pressure and two additional optional electro-polymer sensor positions. The page describes indices for volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides. Because measured concentration, an index and a configured gas sensor are not interchangeable outputs, the quotation names each required channel, unit, range and technology.

The manufacturer states a sampling rate of once every 10 seconds and lists a 16 GB microSD card. It publishes particulate accuracy figures of ±(5 µg/m³ or 10%) for PM2.5 and ±(10 µg/m³ or 10%) for PM10. These are manufacturer specifications for the current product page; project acceptance uses the agreed configuration, test method and submittal rather than a web-page value.

Mounting, power and connectivity

The official specification lists wall, pole and tripod mounting, an IP54 enclosure, 12–32 VDC input, a 120–240 VAC adaptor, and optional solar-panel or wind-turbine power. Standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and optional LTE Cat-M/NB-IoT using a physical SIM are listed for communications. SIMS3 is the named cloud route for logging, analysis, alarms and remote management.

Power autonomy and data availability depend on the supplied options and actual site. Scentroid describes two modes:

  • standard mode: samples every 10 seconds and reports every minute, with more than two days of battery operation;
  • eco mode: samples and reports every two minutes for up to seven days.

A Saudi deployment verifies heat, dust, solar loading, communications coverage, battery condition and the intended reporting interval before relying on catalogue runtime.

Scentroid CTmini particulate matter monitor applications in Saudi Arabia

EnviroSaudi Company is available for projects across Saudi Arabia. At a Riyadh construction site, a CTmini network is positioned around work areas and sensitive receptors to show how particulate trends change with earthworks, haul traffic and weather. At a quarry or cement facility, stations support boundary surveillance and operational investigation. At a Dammam logistics hub or Jeddah port-related site, the design accounts for vehicle movement, coastal humidity and corrosion exposure. NEOM or Qiddiya packages may combine several temporary work fronts with remote reporting.

The dust and particulate monitoring solution explains network objectives and QA considerations, while construction-site air monitoring addresses contractor workflows.

Optical PM results need a QA plan

CTmini’s particle measurement is based on laser counting. Optical response varies with particle size distribution, shape, refractive properties, moisture and inlet condition. High humidity or deposited dust can affect results, while a blocked or poorly located inlet can undermine representativeness. The design therefore defines siting, inspection, cleaning, zero or functional checks, data screening, maintenance records and any comparison required by the customer’s method.

CTmini is an optical sensor-based monitor, not a gravimetric sampler, regulatory reference method or reference-equivalent analyser. If a permit, authority or contract requires a specified method or certification, check that requirement independently. A sensor network still adds value for dense spatial coverage, event detection and operational trends when used within its documented role.

Data, alarms and network interpretation

SIMS3 functions described by Scentroid include remote data access, alarms, analysis and reports for supported devices. Alarm rules state the PM fraction, unit, threshold, averaging or persistence, delay, recipients and required response. A short spike, communication interruption and sustained event are handled as different conditions.

Particulate data becomes more useful when paired with weather context. Wind speed and direction help teams assess whether changes align with site activity or regional dust movement. The meteorological and air-quality integration page covers this relationship. Interpretation remains an operational assessment; a formal study is a separate scope.

What a CTmini proposal states

A complete schedule identifies PM fractions, additional sensors or indices, enclosure, mounting, power mode, battery and renewable-energy accessories, communications, SIM responsibility, storage, platform licence, alarm and reporting setup, calibration or verification items, spares and maintenance tasks. Civil works, mains supply, network approval, SIM/data service and physical installation are assigned clearly. Configuration, availability and lead time are confirmed in each quotation.

Before quotation, provide the site purpose, drawing, station count, source locations, expected dust loading, temperature and humidity, power, cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, required outputs, project specification, delivery location and programme.

Frequently asked questions

Who supplies the Scentroid CTmini particulate matter monitor in Saudi Arabia?

EnviroSaudi Company supplies the CTmini configured for your PM fractions, optional parameters, site conditions and data requirements, and supports installation and maintenance planning.

Which particulate fractions does CTmini measure?

Scentroid’s current product page lists PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10. The schedule states which outputs, units and reporting intervals the project requires.

Can CTmini include measurements beyond particulate matter?

The manufacturer lists temperature, humidity, pressure, carbon dioxide, VOC and NOx indices, plus two optional sensor positions. The exact configuration, and whether an output is a concentration or index, is confirmed in the quotation.

How does CTmini send data?

The current specification lists standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and optional LTE Cat-M/NB-IoT with a physical SIM, with SIMS3 as the stated cloud platform. Coverage, subscriptions and included hardware are project-specific.

Is CTmini a regulatory reference monitor?

No. CTmini is an optical, sensor-based particulate monitor. Required method, certification and data use are checked against the project or authority specification.

What affects the cost of a CTmini monitor?

Cost depends on the PM fractions and optional sensors, power and solar accessories, communications and data service, platform licence and the number of stations.

How long does CTmini delivery take?

Timing depends on the selected configuration, supplier lead time, delivery location and any installation scope. Lead time is confirmed in your quotation.

EnviroSaudi Company serves projects across Saudi Arabia, including Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail, Riyadh, Jeddah, NEOM and Qiddiya.
